Happy for OHOA! Areas 4 and 5 Service Bonding

On November 8, 2014, Area 4 and 5 Interactors met at Elizabeth Lake to create Happy Boxes for children in hospitals. They also bonded over their love and support for Interact and the District 5170 Community Project, "Open Heart Open Arms."

"Imagine finding a Happy Box hidden in the grass on a nice day!"

Interactors turned those bland shoeboxes into beautiful giftboxes that were already quite "happy" once decorated. Inside these Happy Boxes, one can find cards and friendship bracelets as well as books, paint, and crayons, among other things.

"Every box starts with Happy!"

"We're friends! All of you readers, we're friends now!!"

"Happiness is contageous! The finished product brings out a beaming smile from this Interactor!"

"Keani-sama is really feeling it! ... like the happiness, you know."

The service bonding was super effective! In the end, Area 4 and 5 Interactors created tons of Happy Boxes for children in hospitals. These Happy Boxes will definitely bring smiles to their faces!

While we're talking about OHOA, how does Keani feel about children?

"I think we should tutor them, we should hang out with them... you know, OHOAAAHH~?"

Indeed, the spirit of OHOA still resonates in the Interact atmosphere today.
