What is
Interact?
Interact club is a non-profit organization, sponsered by Rotary International. We are worldwide, but also a part of Interact District 5170, the largest district in the world. We are a group of high schoolers ready to provide service, offer a helping hand, and fundraise for our annual International project. Join or start an Interact club at your school!
Fall Leadership conference
The Fall Leadership Conference, also known as FLC, is the largest district event of the year. Over 3,000+ Interactors, and non-Interactors, attend to go through several workshops about service and leadership, hear speaches from guest speakers, be a part of the exciting area bondings, and find out about the annual international and community projects. FLC is the greatest kickstart to the Interact year, and it is guaranteed that you will have fun.

Interact is not only a service club, but it is also a great place to improve your own leadership skills. You will have plenty of opportunities to work with others, improve public speaking skills, build strong relations, learn great organizational tools, receive valuable information from others around the district,and become a better leader. We are Eccentric Elephants
Eccentric: adj.
deviating from the recognized or customary character, practice, etc.

Elephants: large and intelligent animals that form deep family bonds and run in a stampede.
This year (2014 - 2015), Area 4 is also known as Eccentric Elephants. We chose the adjective Eccentric because as Interactors, we are unique, take an unconventional approach, and original. We chose the elephant as our mascot because just like the characteristics of this rare animal, Area 4 has a large passion for service, consists of intelligent individuals, maintains a strong family bond, and as fierce as a stampede.
